Asit Poddar (b. 1955) is a renowned Indian contemporary artist known for his evocative landscapes, cityscapes, and abstract compositions. Born in Kolkata, he studied Painting, Design, and Photography at the Government College of Art & Craft, Kolkata, before receiving a scholarship to study Photography and Film Animation in Tokyo, Japan. His works reflect a unique blend of Eastern and Western influences, characterized by vibrant colors, layered textures, and a poetic sense of space.
