Yusuf (b. 1952) is a distinguished Indian abstract artist and printmaker known for his minimalist visual language and evocative use of line, form, and space. Born in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, he earned diplomas in Painting and Sculpture before becoming closely associated with the contemporary art movement in Bhopal. His works, often executed in ink, acrylic, and mixed media, explore abstraction through subtle geometric structures and calligraphic expressions. A recipient of the Lalit Kala Akademi, Yusuf has exhibited extensively in India and internationally, establishing himself as a significant voice in contemporary Indian art.
