Paritosh Sen
Paritosh Sen (1918–2008) was one of the pioneering figures of Modern Indian Art, celebrated for his expressive style, powerful portraits, and distinctive exploration of human emotions. A founding member of the Calcutta Group, he played a significant role in shaping post-independence Indian art. His works, characterized by bold lines, vibrant colours, and social commentary, earned him widespread recognition and established him as one of India’s most respected modern masters.
