SHRIKANT KADAM
Shrikant Kadam (b. 1973) is a distinguished Indian contemporary abstract artist based in Pune, Maharashtra. With an artistic journey spanning over two decades, his practice explores the interplay of thought, emotion, colour, form, and movement, translating inner experiences into expressive abstract compositions. He completed his G.D. Art in Painting from Abhinav Kala Mahavidyalaya, Pune, followed by a Diploma in Art Education from Sir J.J. School of Art, Mumbai, and later earned his BFA and MFA from Savitribai Phule Pune University, graduating with First Rank and Distinction. Kadam has exhibited extensively through solo and group exhibitions at prestigious venues including Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai, Shridharani Art Gallery, New Delhi, National Gallery of Modern Art, Mumbai, and Lalit Kala Academy, New Delhi, with his work also showcased internationally in Singapore, South Korea, Indonesia, Germany, and the UK. His abstract practice is marked by a continuous exploration of visual language, inviting viewers to engage with colour, rhythm, texture, and imagination.
