Sachin Chaudhari
Sachin Chaudhari is a distinguished Indian sculptor whose practice explores the relationship between natural materials, human existence and the inner dimensions of life. Trained in Sculpture and Modelling at the Sir J. J. School of Art, Mumbai, Chaudhari has developed a distinctive approach to sculpture through his engagement with wood, stone, metal and other materials.
His sculptural practice is deeply connected with nature and spirituality. He often transforms raw and organic materials into expressive abstract forms, allowing the inherent character and texture of the material to remain an important part of the work. His sculptures invite viewers to reflect on themes of consciousness, humanity and the deeper beauty found within natural forms.
Over the course of his career, Chaudhari has participated in numerous national exhibitions, sculpture camps and workshops, including programmes organised by the Lalit Kala Akademi and other leading cultural institutions. He has also held solo exhibitions at Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai and Nehru Centre Art Gallery. His recognitions include the National Akademi Award at the 60th National Exhibition of Art and the 1st Award for Sculpture from the South Central Zone Cultural Centre, among several other honours.
