Anjan Coomar is a contemporary Indian painter associated with the vibrant art scene of Kolkata. His artistic practice reflects a deeply introspective engagement with spirituality, human experience and the search for a deeper sense of meaning in everyday life.

Coomar’s paintings are marked by a thoughtful exploration of spiritual and philosophical ideas. His works seek to express a quest for religious experience, examining the connection between the inner self and the world around it. Rather than treating spirituality as a purely religious subject, his paintings approach it as a personal and contemplative journey.
