Shetall Mahajan
Shetall Mahajan is a contemporary Indian artist from Maharashtra whose practice explores womanhood, identity, emotions and the many experiences that shape a woman’s life. Her paintings are deeply introspective, often transforming personal observations and lived experiences into expressive visual narratives.
Mahajan received her art education at L. S. Raheja School of Art, Mumbai, followed by an advanced course at Sir J. J. School of Art, Mumbai. Her artistic journey has been recognised with awards from Sir J. J. School of Art, the Art Society of India and the Camlin Art Foundation.
A recurring focus in her practice is the theme of womanhood. Through her paintings, Mahajan explores the emotional and practical dimensions of women’s lives—their thoughts, feelings, roles, relationships and journeys. Her narrative approach encourages viewers to look beyond the surface of the figure and engage with the experiences and emotions represented within the work.
